One of the very first places we went to visit here in Portugal is a place known around the world. It is called Fatima and millions of people travel to this beautiful place each year.
Fatima is the location of a documented miracle in the Catholic Church. While in Fatima, we visited the old and new churches, the homes of the three shepherd children who were visited by the Virgin Mary, and the wax museum.
There is also a piece of the Berlin Wall here, that was given as a gift to the city of Fatima.
The wax museum is very realistic and our children kept commenting on how the figures seemed to be watching them, ha ha!
If you ever get the chance to visit Portugal, Fatima is definitely a place you won't want to miss.
