We discovered the Workbox System about 1 year ago. All I can say is- WOW! It really does make our day run more smoothly and I feel I am more organized and accountable. Here is a picture of what our workboxes look like:
Our children have 8 boxes each. I purchased these neat boxes at Target and like them because they are larger than the shoebox size. I have a variety of different workbox numbers for them, based on their hobbies, favorite characters, holidays, etc... On each workbox, there are 2 spaces for other cards that identify what subject is inside the box or what activity they will be doing. Here is our pocket chart with all our workbox cards. Many of these were found on other blogs (Thank you, fellow homeschool mommies!) and some I
created for our own specific subjects.
The schedule strips we use are probably used differently than some of you other workboxers. My children each have a workbox card and a set of schedule strips. As they work through their boxes, they take the coordinating number off of their schedule strip and place it onto their workbox card. Then, when they complete everything inside the box, they put a little "checkmark man" card next to it!
That is a really good idea!
